Knit/Crochet Classes
Classes are held on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. We ask that you please call ahead to secure your space as the classes tend to fill up quickly and materials often need to be ordered beforehand. Unless otherwise stated, the cost of class is the cost of materials.
May 12th, 19th, and 26th ~~ Lots of Lace: Your choice of several projects, ranging in difficulty from a gorgeously simple, 2-row pattern scarf, to a charted, double dropstitch shawl. You may want to tackle a top-down cardigan or have an idea of your own. Tips and techniques will also be addressed, including fixing and avoiding mistakes.
June 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd ~~ Crochet Starter: Learn (or fine tune) the crochet basics, and build on simple stitches to create a crocheted bag, scarf, or a granny square. Edgings for knitted works will also be explored.
We have not yet decided upon July and August classes. Check back or call us for more information.
As a courtesy, we offer knitting help during the day when we have the time. However, we ask for your patience as you will have to wait while we assist others in their shopping needs. Please inquire about seaming and finishing as we offer those services as well.
If you would like to schedule an appointment for one-on-one lessons, please call to arrange for a time after the close of the business day. These sessions have a fee in addition to the cost of materials.
